It is the mission of Friends of Daniel Catán to share and to spread Daniel's music throughout the world and to ensure his works are available for generations to come.
For years, Andrea Puente-Catán has been working to preserve and share Daniel's music. Countless hours had been spent cataloging his musical scores, ensuring these documents are protected as well as taking steps to complete Daniel's final opera: Meet John Doe.
By mere luck, Mike Chavez, a fan of Daniel, reached out to Andrea in search of rare copies of Daniel's music--especially Salsipuedes. The two soon began collaborating. Friends of Daniel Catán was born.

Harpist performer, promoter, producer, arts administrator, and art educator with more than 20 years of international experience. Daniel Catan’s partner in crime, Andrea believed wholeheartedly in the Catan’s ‘Spanish Opera Project and Mission’. Her passion is to promote his work and ensure that his music keeps touching people around the world.
Mike Chavez
Director of Marketing
Lover of Daniel's music and IT professional. Responsible for website design, development of social media, video production, updating Wikipedia and getting Daniel's music on internet radio stations. Handles the technical aspects of marketing.
