New performance dates for Il Postino and Salsipuedes have been added!  Coming first in October, the Caribbean infused Salsipuedes will be performed in Mexico as part of Festival Cervantino.  In November, Virginia Opera will be performing Il Postino in Norfolk, Fairfax and then Richmond.  In February, Albuquerque will have the opportunity to see Il Postino in a production by Opera Southwest.  Il Postino will then be performed in California in a production by Opera Santa Barbara in March.  Additional information on the events can be found by clicking the link for the individual event.

It has been announced that ENCANTAMIENTO: Music of Daniel Catán--has been accepted for Grammy consideration in the Classical Compendium category!  Cynthia Clayton's incredible performance as well as the hard work of all those involved has not gone unnoticed.  Listen to the album on iTunes and Spotify!  The album is also available on Amazon.com and the Albany Records website. 

As part of the steps taken to preserve Daniel's music, over 40 hours of audio have been preserved at the Fonoteca Nacional de México. We are pleased to announce that this archival music is available for streaming on this website.  Coming from several sources and with varying quality, the archive contains some of the rarest recordings of Daniel's music.
